Travel advice to Viet Nam (updated as of February 28, 2020)
CMSC Below is the travel advice to Viet Nam regarding the ongoing outbreak of coronavirus, as of February 28, 2020.
Currently, COVID-19 is spreading rapidly around the globe.
In the midst of this outbreak, Viet Nam has been able to bring the spreading of COVID-19 under control.
As of February 26, 2020, 16 out of 16 COVID-19 patients have been treated, cured and discharged from hospitals, no new COVID-19 cases reported in Viet Nam since February 13, 2020.
Viet Nam is determined to contain the disease with a string of national policies and measures, among others:
Deployment of 45 rapid response teams nationwide
Visa restrictions or refusal of entry into Viet Nam for foreign visitors from COVID-19 affected areas;
Mandatory temperature screening check and filling in medical declaration forms at ports of entry;
14-day quarantine measure applied to individuals testing positive or showing symptoms of acute respiratory illness;
For Delegates attending ASEAN meetings in Viet Nam:
All delegates are ensured to be provided with professional medical measures during the meeting period in Vietnam.
Hotels and meeting venues are to be sanitized by disinfection professional teams 2-3 days prior to the arrival of delegates. Dry hand wash products and masks are available around the corners. Infrared thermometers are provided upon request. A roster of appropriately trained medical staff is available on duty 24/7.
Food hygiene and safety are tightened at all dining areas for delegates.
